Game Mode On! Royal Enfield Announces Season 6 of “Art of Motorcycling” with Retro 16-bit Theme

  • Game Mode On: Reimagine motorcycling through a retro gaming-inspired lens

  • Entries for digital and hand-drawn art are now open, with 7 global winners receiving an all-expenses-paid trip to Motoverse 2026 in Goa – and their creation brought to life in an immersive real-life physical/digital showcase

  • Registrations close 21 October, and winners announced on 5 November 2026

Bruntingthorpe, UK, August 28, 2026: Royal Enfield today announced the return of its global creative platform, #ArtOfMotorcycling (AOM), for its sixth season.

What began in 2020 as a grassroots initiative has evolved into a worldwide cultural movement. In 2025 there were over 52,000 registrations from 12 countries across the globe, all imagining a world of art, motorcycling, and cinema.

This year’s theme, Game Mode On, invites illustrators, graphic designers, and creators to reimagine the thrill of motorcycling through the nostalgic lens of retro gaming.

Inspired by the 16 and 32-bit gaming eras, Season 6 challenges artists to immerse themselves and put forth their creative renditions with Royal Enfield motorcycles into a virtual universe, showcasing their love for the brand Royal Enfield. While retro gaming aesthetics provide the creative starting point, the narrative remains entirely open; whether illustrating a pixelated road trip, a futuristic cityscape, or a fantastical quest, participants have complete freedom to blend gaming aesthetics with their own unique artistic voice. Submissions can be either digital or hand-drawn.

UK submissions for the 2026 edition fall under the following category:

  • The Adults Edition (Global): Open to creators across the UK, India, APAC, LATAM, and North America. Accepting both digital and hand-drawn creatives, entries will first be shortlisted regionally before advancing to the global stage. A Global Winners category will recognise the best international works, while a Riders’ Choice award will let the Royal Enfield community vote for their favourite designs on social media.

The Ultimate Reward: Regional and global juries will evaluate the entries across multiple stages. The final seven Global Winners will receive a sponsored trip to Motoverse 2026 in Goa (November 27–29), where their imagined gaming worlds will be brought to life in an immersive, ‘phygital’ (physical and digital) showcase.

Key Dates for Season 6:

  • August 27, 2026: Registrations open

  • September 11, 2026: Jury revealed & entry submissions begin

  • October 21, 2026: Registration window closes

  • November 5, 2026: Winners announced

How to Enter: Participants can register and download the official design toolkit via the #ArtOfMotorcycling section on the Royal Enfield website. Completed entries must be submitted on the website and can be shared on Instagram by tagging @royalenfield and using the hashtags #ArtOfMotorcycling and #AOMGameModeOn.

ROYAL ENFIELD’S 125TH YEAR COMMEMORATED WITH UNVEILING OF A WORLD ORIGIN SITE PLAQUE IN REDDITCH

  • Richard Hammond and Redditch Mayor Susan Eacock perform unveiling

  • Classic 650 125th Anniversary Limited Edition displayed with historic machines

Redditch, England: Date 23/06/2026: Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment (250cc–750cc), has celebrated the brand’s historic British roots in Redditch, England, with the installation of a ‘World Origin Site’ plaque, marking the legacy of Royal Enfield’s first factory location in this 125th anniversary year.

The unveiling took place at the site of Royal Enfield’s Hunt End Works, on what is now known as Enfield Road, with motoring journalist and TV personality Richard Hammond joining Redditch Mayor Susan Eacock; flanked by members of the local community, Royal Enfield staff, Riders Club members and surviving workers from the original Redditch manufacturing plant.

Commenting on the unveiling, Richard Hammond said

“My heart lies with two wheels, motorbikes are my private passion and as a local boy by birth, growing up nearby to this area, it’s a great pleasure to mark this World Origin Site celebrating Royal Enfield; a longstanding, proud brand that rings with familiarity around the world and continues to honour the workers that laid the foundations here in Redditch.”

Founder of World Origin Site, Martin Wilkie said:

“It’s just a wall in Redditch today, but 125-years-ago, somebody did something that changed the world and we’re here to mark the exact spot.”

Royal Enfield motorcycles from five generations lined Enfield Road, highlighting the brand’s title as the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, with a legacy spanning 125 years. From the modern ‘Project Origin’ replica of Royal Enfield’s first motorcycle, launched in 1901, to a fully restored first edition 1932 Bullet, the iconic model that began Royal Enfield’s journey to manufacturing in India and is still in production today.

The 2026 Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition, was also displayed to represent a lineage that began with the first Royal Enfield motorcycle in 1901, spanning multiple generations and continents. The limited edition model, due on sale in Europe from August, is a meticulously crafted physical tribute to the brand’s enduring legacy. Embossed with a 125 Year crest in gold on classic red. This Special Edition employs an ‘hypershift’ paint application, the unique kaleidoscope-like paintwork highlights the fusion of heritage and celebration, the perfect tribute to Royal Enfield’s timeless, iconic, and evolving spirit.

Royal Enfield has evolved into one of the world’s most iconic motorcycle brands, loved by generations of riders for its timeless design, authentic character, and philosophy of Pure Motorcycling. Today, the brand has a presence across 80+ countries, supported by a growing retail network of over 3,200 stores globally, seven international CKD assembly facilities, and vibrant riding communities around the world.

Its portfolio spans 15 internal combustion engine motorcycles across Heritage, Cruiser, Roadster, Adventure, and Pure Sport categories, each reflecting the brand’s ability to blend heritage with modern relevance for riders across markets. More recently, Royal Enfield has also marked its entry into electric mobility with Flying Flea, its new city+ electric mobility brand, launching the Flying Flea C6.

The collaboration with Rough Crafts brings forth exclusivity and craftsmanship, reflecting Royal Enfield’s lasting connection with the culture of customisation.

Speaking on the limited edition drop, Adrian John Sellers, Head of Custom & Motorsports, Royal Enfield, said:

“An elegant new expression of the Shotgun 650’s custom-first philosophy, this latest edition carries a distinctive design language inspired by the ‘Caliber Royale’ custom build—aligning perfectly with Rough Crafts’ signature black and gold aesthetic. This edition stands out as a collectible icon that inspires desirability while reaffirming Royal Enfield’s deep-rooted connection to the culture of personalisation.”

Styled with a combination of Gloss Jet Black and Matt Stealth Black, the motorcycle features a striking Gold Leaf stripe with a subtle grey accent flowing seamlessly across its panels, complemented by limited-edition numbering on the tank. A cast brass collaboration badge, identical to the one adorning the original custom, reinforces its authenticity. The other premium additions such as matching black bar-end mirrors, quilted leather seats, contrast-cut alloy rims, and gold fork inner tubes elevate both desirability and road presence. In addition to the motorcycle, owners will also receive a numbered limited edition gold on black artwork of a Caliber Royale custom build sketch, designed and signed by Winston Yeh of Rough Crafts.

Caliber Royale was custom-built by Rough Crafts with the Shotgun 650 as its base. It featured stretched proportions, signature fairing, hand crafted finishes in gloss and matte paint, gold leaf accents, and minute changes to the frame. Taking inspiration from the Caliber Royale, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts Drop elevates the Shotgun’s muscular stance with exquisite design elements.

ASCENT OF THE ICON: ROYAL ENFIELD HIMALAYAN CONTINUES REDEFINING ADVENTURE TOURING WITH RECORD GLOBAL SALES

Marking a defining moment in its journey, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 recorded its strongest year yet, with an annual sales growth of over 53% (excluding India), reinforcing its place as a trusted, go-anywhere machine.

First introduced in 2016, this year celebrating 10 years of production, the Himalayan marked Royal Enfield’s entry into the 400cc segment with an entirely new form factor. One that reimagined capability as an everyday companion, equally at ease on highways, city streets and the road less travelled.

Cementing its position as one of the most loved and capable adventure motorcycles in its class, the motorcycle continues to build an evocative relation between man, machine, and terrain. From its 2016 debut as a purpose-built motorcycle for the Himalayas, to the ground-up reimagined do it all Himalayan 450 launched in 2023, the Himalayan has consistently pushed the boundaries of what a motorcycle can be, from weekend adventure to daily commute, cementing its place as a default choice for riders who refuse to be boxed into one kind of riding.

To further fuel the motorcycle’s momentum, the Himalayan Mana Black was introduced in 2025, a motorcycle inspired by the formidable Mana Pass, known to be one of the world’s most challenging high-altitude routes that strikes the perfect chord with the evolving adventure touring community of riders.

Himalayan Domination – Setting Sales Records

This year has emerged as the strongest yet for the Himalayan 450 globally, with record deliveries to riders across markets. Since its debut in 2016, the platform has grown significantly — from the introduction of the new Himalayan 450 powered by the Sherpa engine at the end of 2023 with over 9,600 units sold that year, to annual global sales surpassing 38,000 units this year — steadily expanding the mid-size adventure touring segment worldwide.

Following its leadership in India’s mid-size adventure segment for a decade, the Himalayan has further bolstered its popularity in markets such as Brazil, where the motorcycle has emerged as the best-selling adventure motorcycle in its class, reflecting its universal appeal and Royal Enfield’s growing global footprint.

Over the past few years in the UK, the Himalayan 450 has covered extraordinary ground. Most recently it has demonstrated its versatile capabilities both on and off-road over the past year, with particular highlights including its use in partnership with the British Army, and a dominant win in the singles class at the Valleys X-Treme Lite event in Wales.

Having circumnavigated the world multiple times, the Himalayan has served as a trusted companion for adventurers and explorers undertaking journeys few motorcycles could endure.

Looking forward, the Himalayan will be among the most prominent motorcycles at the Adventure Bike Rider (ABR) Festival, one of the world’s most celebrated adventure motorcycling events, drawing attention and admiration from riders and enthusiasts globally.

Rooted in the Himalayas, which remain Royal Enfield’s spiritual home, the Himalayan continues to extend beyond the motorcycle through a rich ecosystem of rides and programmes such as the Himalayan Odyssey, along with initiatives like the Great Himalayan Exploration that celebrate journeying across these landscapes. Together, these experiences continue to foster a global community of riders connected by the spirit of pure motorcycling.

2026 Bullet 650

The Bullet finds its most powerful expression yet with the acclaimed parallel twin 650cc engine delivering an authentic ride that’s more resolute than ever. Paired with it are the proven steel tubular spine frame, gleaming hand-painted pinstripes, iconic tiger lamps, vintage-inspired 3D winged badge and a commanding riding stance, preserving all the hallmarks that have made this motorcycle an icon for generations.

The Bullet 650’s twin engine delivers smooth power and effortless acceleration, ideal for both relaxed and spirited rides, with figures of 34.6 kW (46.4 bhp) and 52.3 Nm of torque, while its precise 6-speed gearbox and light slipper clutch contribute to an effortless journey. With every curve designed in harmony with its parallel-twin heart, its substantial bodywork and commanding stance lend it the graceful presence of a true big-capacity, old-school motorcycle.

The motorcycle features a sumptuous bench seat (at 800mm) and raised handlebars to give its rider true presence on the road, while its Showa suspension absorbs imperfections with composure. Its all-metal construction rests on 18-inch rear and 19-inch front wheels, a traditional balance that anchors its distinguished form. The signature teardrop tank with its venerable winged badges and casquette-mounted LED headlamp complete with “tiger-eye” pilot lamps – first seen on Royal Enfields in 1954 – seals its lineage.

The Bullet has always stood for resilience, as a motorcycle that has endured, adapted and stayed true to its character for over 90 years. Every line, every contour, and every detail has been crafted to preserve the soul of the original, while bringing in the power and refinement of our twin-cylinder platform. To not create this motorcycle would have been inconceivable; it was a natural evolution.

A clean instrument cluster combines analogue charm and modern function with digital LCD readouts for fuel, trip, gear position, and service reminders that keep everything essential within easy sight. Riders can further personalise their machine with Genuine Motorcycle Accessories, tailoring its comfort and its style to their taste.

The Bullet 650 is a seamless blend of precision engineering with heritage DNA. Versatile, old-school and endlessly dependable, it is more than a motorcycle; it is a living legend with every ride a new chapter in an unmatched story.

The Bullet has proved infinitely adaptable across nine decades. The new Bullet 650 remains true to what it has always been. Timeless, steadfast, immersed in a halo of nostalgia, impossible to imitate. Beneath its signature silhouette lies the latest precision engineering; smoother, powerful and built for the riders of today.

2026 ROYAL ENFIELD GUERRILLA 450 APEX: SPORTIER PERFORMANCE MEETS URBAN AGILITY

Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment, today announced the new 2026 Guerrilla 450 APEX models for EMEA markets, a sharper, more focused expression of its street-performance roadster.

Built around the same visceral Sherpa engine, the APEX redefines intent through stance and control – featuring a lower, more committed riding posture, road-focused tyres, and design elements that amplify its corner-hungry character. Every element is tuned to reward rider input, making real-world streets feel faster, and more involving.

HIGHLIGHTS OF GUERRILLA 450 APEX VARIANT:

  • Sportier riding position: Lowered and repositioned aluminium handlebars with a more forward-leaning riding triangle for a commanding, sport-focused stance.

  • New road-biased tyres: APEX variant features new, road-biased 17” Vredestein Centauro ST tyres, carrying a sporty DNA while offering enhanced grip on wet and low friction surfaces.

  • Updated ride modes: Refined Street and Sport ride modes with mode retention – allowing seamless switching and retaining the last selected mode across ignition cycles.

  • Sharper visual identity and aesthetics: New CTGs, APEX Red and APEX Black further enhance the range, bringing a sharper visual identity. Standard rim tapes, a sculpted rear seat cowl and a colour-coded front cowl add to the motorcycle’s sportier stance.

  • Additionally, a premium colour variant is available for the Guerrilla 450: Twilight Blue, alongside Shadow Ash.

Built on the iconic Sherpa platform and supported by a balanced steel twin spar frame, the 2026 Guerrilla 450 continues to deliver 40PS and 40Nm, offering strong, accessible performance across the rev range. Across its variants, the motorcycle emphasises stability under acceleration, agility in corners and confidence through changing road conditions.

All variants of the 2026 Guerrilla 450 are equipped with Royal Enfield’s Tripper Dash – a circular 4-inch TFT display with Google Maps-powered navigation and seamless smartphone connectivity – enhancing every ride with intuitive guidance, real-time ride insights, and providing a more connected, in-control riding experience.

Commenting on 125 years of Royal Enfield and 125,000 motorcycles built on the Sherpa platform, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Enfield, said

“The Guerrilla 450 has established itself as a compelling proposition for riders seeking an engaging, street-focused motorcycle that blends everyday usability with spirited performance. With the 2026 updates, we are sharpening that proposition further — introducing a sportier expression with enhanced ergonomics, new road-biased tyres and features that amplify its agile, corner-hungry character. We now offer one machine with two flavours, to let customers choose between an upright, street-first ergonomics with plenty of muscle, or a grippier ride to conquer every corner. The launch also coincides with two important milestones for us as a brand — 125 years of Royal Enfield and 125,000 motorcycles built globally on the Sherpa platform.”

GRRR x Fairtex

Royal Enfield Guerrilla has partnered with Fairtex, the iconic Muay Thai brand, on a special collaboration rooted in discipline, precision, agility and controlled power – the traits of an urban fighter. The partnership introduces a limited-edition range of Fairtex x Guerrilla gear, including boxing gloves, Muay Thai shorts and a T-shirt, alongside a custom motorcycle based on the 2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 APEX. Finished in collaboration colours with a raw, street-focused stance, the build reflects the focused aggression and athleticism shared by both brands.

The collaboration was unveiled at GRRR Nights X Underground festival in Guwahati, an event designed to showcase the motorcycle’s versatility and performance. Drift demos, drag races and hands-on experiences gave participants a direct feel of the Guerrilla 450, complemented by live sets from EPR Iyer and Shaddly Mellow, along with DJ performances and an enthusiast meet-up that brought together the culture around the machine.

The 2026 Guerrilla 450 APEX adds a sharper, sportier dimension to the product, broadening its appeal to riders seeking agility and control in everyday urban riding. The range goes on sale in EMEA markets from April. Find your local Royal Enfield dealership at royalenfield.com.
