It’s time to make the street a playground with the new Kawasaki Z650 S, a machine that oozes unique Kawasaki Sugomi attitude mixing contemporary style with a new blend of rider focused chassis, engine and electronic aids.

Boasting muscular new looks, the new for 2026 Z650 S takes a fresh approach to ergonomic fit with repositioned footpegs, a stunning new fat-type handlebar configuration plus updates for both rider and passenger seating. The new forward-leaning riding position marries well with an updated, more cushioned front seat (approx. 15 mm higher than the previous Z650). The overall seating area is wider while the rear seat is 20 mm wider, with 10 mm of added cushioning. Both a Style seat and 20mm lower ERGO-Fit seat are part of the comprehensive accessory range. 

For rider and pedestrian alike, the impression is of a substantial machine – a bike with real presence but still with good reach to the ground. Thanks, in part, to the greater overall bodywork volume, the strength of purpose is underlined by a new, aggressive front cowl housing LED front lights — two upper for low beam lighting and single lower for the high beam — matched by an LED rear light and LED indicators. 

There is much to admire such as the aluminium radiator covers upfront while the compact, upswept and sharply defined tail features a layered design accentuating the underlying menace of the machine. Metallic accents abound add to the high-quality look.   

Not just a new riding position and 30mm wider handlebars, but also a new 4.3inch TFT meter panel relays all the essential information plus reacts to ambient light offering the best resolution. The display can also be switched between two options.  Type one reveals a bar-style tachometer while type two boasts a hexagonal tachometer. The screen’s background colour automatically changes from white to black when ambient light is low, or it can be manually set to black or white as per the rider’s preference. In addition, the meter acts as an interface when the rider uses Kawasaki’s Rideology the App Motorcycle on their Smartphone expanding the range of cool features available. 

In terms of the engine, the addictive 649 cm3 compact parallel twin delivers a powerful-feeling throttle response and a quick-revving character with KTRC traction control as standard.  To optimise performance for everyday riding, care has been taken to maximise low-mid range torque. Equipped with Assist and Slipper Clutch, a patented radiator fan cover directs hot air down and away from the rider, significantly increasing congested city comfort. Additionally an O2 sensor is added to the exhaust system to assist with reducing emissions while a quick shifter is available as an accessory aiding upshifts. 

The characteristic lightweight trellis type chassis tips the scales at just 15kg contributing to nimble handling while braking is courtesy of dual ø300 mm front discs and ø220 mm at the rear. The ABS unit for 2026 is a new item from Continental. 

A carefully focused range of accessories also accompany the new Z650 S including colour matched pillion seat covers, luggage options and a convenient USB-C outlet neatly located inside the front cowl. 

The “S” in the new Z650 S could stand for “Stunning” “Style” “Stage” or “Spotlight” representing  a new eye-catching new approach and attitude. It’s time to level up and greet the new Z650 S. Priced at £7,199, the 2026 Z650 S will be in dealers from January and available in three colours:

New Z1100 for 2026 – “Sugomi Awakens”

The Z family and Sugomi concept are unique to Kawasaki, seamlessly combining in 2026 to create the new Z1100 and Z1100 SE category defining Supernakeds at the top of Kawasaki’s naturally aspirated Z family.

“Sugomi” describes the fundamental concept behind the design and riding sensation of Z Supernakeds first introduced on the 2014 Z1000. This design ethos has been passed to subsequent Z models. The Z1100, as example, includes fierce looking LED headlights and a new under-cowl shape with fins adding to the aggressive Z Sugomi image. 

For the Z1100 models, a highly rigid aluminium twin-tube frame, SFF-BP forks and horizontal back-link suspension are at the core of both machines, while, in addition monobloc calipers are paired with large ø310 mm brake discs on the Z1100 to create a sharp, direct response to rider inputs, making every twist of the throttle a visceral experience. 

The SE model of Z1100 features Brembo brakes with radial-mount monobloc calipers and Brembo discs plus steel braided brake lines and an Öhlins S46 rear shock absorber providing a plush feel and tuning via the remote pre-load adjuster. Tyres for 2026 are Dunlop’s Sportmax Q5A items. 

The rider view on both machines is dominated by the 5” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation that also features turn by turn navigation and integrated Smartphone connectivity facilitating functions via Kawasaki’s Rideology the App Motorcycle including voice command technology. 

Electronic rider aids abound on the Z1100 and Z1100 SE. New Electronic Throttle Valves (ETV) deliver more precise and responsive engine control, enabling cruise control plus the latest dual-direction KQS quick shifter. An IMU – with 6 DOF (degrees of freedom) – facilitates other rider support technology such as KCMF Cornering Management, KTRC Traction Control, KIBS Integrated Braking, selectable Power Modes plus Integrated Riding Modes that include Sport, Road, Rain, Rider (Manual). 

At the heart of these new Z machines is a powerhouse 1,099 cm3 in-line four-cylinder 100.0 kW {136 PS} engine with optimised intake ports utilising increased displacement for better Low-Mid Range response delivering a maximum of 11.5 kg¦?m of torque while achieving impressive fuel economy. Camshaft profiles, valve springs and even pistons have all been revised and each final gear ratio has been optimised with 5th and 6th gears even longer than previous litre class Z models. 

The flywheel mass is greater allied to a 3 mm longer stroke than the previous Z1000 model. From mid- to high-rpm, riders will enjoy the strong performance and sharp throttle response characteristic of a Z family member. The exhaust system has a 4-2-1-into pre-chamber-into-1 arrangement, contributing to the Z1100’s aggressive looks and light weight. 

Additionally, a new ergonomic package encompasses an updated handlebar position, now 22mm wider and 13mm further forward bringing better response to rider inputs, making the handling feel lighter and sharper in every speed range for a controllable machine character. 

Proudly taking their place in the dominant Z Supernaked family for 2026, the new Z1100 and Z1100 SE are set to continue the legendary status of this distinctive model line and reward litre class fans with a characteristic cocktail of visceral excitement and refined rider aids. Welcome to a new Z when “Sugomi Awakens”.  

Both machines will be available in dealers from October, with the Z1100 costing £11,099 and the Z1100 SE £12,699.

New liveries for 2026 Ninja 125 and Z125

For Kawasaki – and Kawasaki fans – Ninja and Z are venerated families and the desire to belong has created entry level machines in the form of the Z125 plus Ninja 125. By any standards, these are machines that display all the presence and qualities of their larger capacity siblings.  And for 2026, both machines will be offered in a variety of new liveries.

With an enviable heritage that stretches back to 1972 for the Z brand and 1984 in terms of the Ninja line, the lineage of these two thoroughly modern machines is inescapable. The Z125 and Ninja 125 each represent an ideal “entry to the wide world of motorcycling” for a wide range of powered two-wheeler enthusiasts including those new to biking focusing on the important A1 licence category. 

Each utilising a tubular trellis type chassis construction similar to Kawasaki’s top of the range Supercharged Ninja and Z machines, the 125cc offerings focus on an idealised balance of style, engineering and durability which entry level riders rightly expect. 

The Ninja 125 has bodywork redolent Ninja machines racing machines and is equipped with a 15PS (11KW) engine with controllability and classic Ninja urge throughout the rev range. Reassuring around town and with great low to mid-range flexibility, the rider feels the benefit of Supersport ergonomics (that include a 20mm higher seat as an Ergofit accessory option) and a cockpit view that encompasses all-digital instrumentation. Add Uni-Trak rear suspension, ø37 mm telescopic front forks plus dependable ABS brakes and the Ninja 125 is sure to be at the head of many rider’s wish list; and justifiably so. 

For Z heads, the Z125 bathes in Kawasaki’s unique Sugomi design approach balancing engineering with styling while being the smallest in the revered naked class family sharing the same frame technology and engine configuration as its 125cc capacity cousin. 

A1 licence compliant, the Z125 is also equipped with the same suspension set up and, likewise, benefits from all-digital meters and advanced ABS braking plus the option of a 25mm lower Ergofit accessory seat. Offering the same distinctive look and feel as other street focused members of the Z family, the Z125 provides a great introduction to the world of naked category motorcycling.

Push the Limit: New 2026 Ninja ZX-10R

Undisputably the Ninja ZX-10R is a true champion machine. History making, the litre class Ninja has carried Kawasaki riders to seven WorldSBK titles and delivered the thrill of exploring limits on track to a wide range of riders.

For 2026, this already formidable model is raised to the next level with a host of changes and upgrades – the most notable of which is a radical new aero package featuring large winglets that significantly increase downforce at high speeds enhancing front-end feel while cornering, contributing to reduced lap times. 

Setting the wings’ angle of attack Kawasaki engineers considered the trade-off between lift (ClfA) and drag (CdA).  With the increased frontal area of the larger winglets downforce generation (or lift suppression) from the new winglets increased by approximately 25%. 

Compact projector/reflector hybrid headlights, a repositioned Ram Air intake and the prominent new winglets give the Ninja ZX-10R its new 2026 “face,” enhancing the strong family image. 

Power wise, the Ninja ZX-10R’s engine balances stunning on-demand power with manageability and, for maximum track-riding efficiency, great care was taken to ensure ideal engine response during all parts of the corner. The new Euro5+ engine maintains the high performance feeling of its predecessor while offering improved emissions via such additions such as a second O2 sensor. 

Circuit-focused settings for the WorldSBK-developed BFF (Balance Free Front Fork) and BFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion) shock facilitate front-rear weight transfer and contribute to light handling. At the same time updates to the chassis geometry—tuned to match the effect of the new winglets—contribute to improved rear-wheel traction and enhanced secondary cornering force, Dual high-spec Brembo M50 monobloc calipers gripping large ø330 mm discs, and a radial-pump master cylinder deliver next-level braking performance. 

In the cockpit, a larger 5” all-digital TFT colour meter creates a high-tech, high-grade appearance.  It also offers additional features unavailable on the previous model while Rideology The App Motorcycle* allows the rider to link their machine via wireless connection to their Smartphone revealing a comprehensive suite of information and adjustments. Turn by Turn navigation is also a new feature for 2026 showing just how practical Ninja ZX-10R ownership is while Voice Command technology makes its debut. 

Moving to the next level, the track-focused Ninja ZX-10RR for 2026 continues to feature Pankl connecting rods and pistons plus braided front brake hoses. Adjustable Öhlins steering damper with twin-tube design is fitted as standard equipment to both the ZX-10RR and ZX-10R.  

Always a stand-out motorcycle, the Ninja ZX-10R and its track twin, the ZX-10RR naturally demand attention. New colours for Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX 2026

The Ninja 1100SX and Ninja 1100S SE are set to go the distance in 2026 with two new colour options.

The recently launched Ninja 1100SX represents an update to the already legendary Ninja 1000SX. Extra engine capacity and other subtle changes unlock a greater flexibility and real world rideability. Created to deliver high performance, advanced technology for sports riding and all-day touring, the Ninja 1100SX and its SE partner set a new standard for sport touring performance. Add no less than three Edition models covering Tourer, Performance and Performance Tourer specification and a suite of options unfolds. 

With a dual-direction quick-shifter, longer 5th and 6th gears, and the addition of a handlebar-mounted USB Type-C outlet, the Ninja 1100SX also boasts a four position windscreen and improved fuel economy while – under the skin – an IMU monitors a variety of parameters and assists an array of real world riding situations. 

The SE model is fitted with Brembo M4.32 calipers complemented by a Brembo master cylinder and steel-braided brake lines. An Öhlins S46 shock absorber is fitted to the rear of the machine which – like the standard model – features Electronic Cruise Control and a seamlessly integrated accessory pannier system adding comfort and convenience to weekend escapes. 

The new colour options for the Ninja 1100SX in 2026 are Metallic Brilliant Golden Black/Metallic Carbon Gray for standard and Metallic Deep Blue/Metallic Diablo Black plus Emerald Blazed Green/Metallic Diablo Black for the SE model. 

Available from January, the Ninja 1100SX will cost £12,399 and the Ninja 1100SX SE £14,149.

Henry Snell Crowned 2025 AJN Steelstock Kawasaki British Superteen Champion

Having dominated the season so far, Australian rider Henry Snell was crowned the 2025 AJN Steelstock Kawasaki British Superteen Champion at Donington Park following his 11th win of the year.

Since his double victory at the opening round of the season at Oulton Park back in May, ROKiT Rookies Kawasaki’s Henry Snell has been the rider to beat for the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki British Superteen riders. In his second season in the class, the likeable Aussie has powered his Ninja ZX-4RR to 11 victories and a further two podiums so far, seeing him wrap up the title with one round to go. 

Yet despite his dominance, it has been far from an easy season for Henry, facing stiff competition from title rival James Cook alongside podium challengers Marley Mackenzie, Freddy Oakley, Callum Beach, Greg Marshal, Kylan Shuttlewood, Luca Hopkins, David Lindemann and Troy Jeffrey. This ensured bar-to-bar racing throughout, with many races decided on the final lap. 

2025 will mark the final year of the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki British Superteen Championship, with the series now evolving into the National Junior Sportbike class. The ever-popular Ninja ZX-4RR remains eligible for the new series, and Kawasaki UK and Team Green are continuing to support younger riders by offering a race-ready package. AJN Steelstock Kawasaki British Superteens Comes To A Close

Following two thrilling seasons of bar-to-bar racing, 2026 will see the series evolve into the all-new National Junior Sportbike Championship. Kawasaki and Team Green will continue its ethos of supporting the next generation of racers by offering a special race package for those riders looking to campaign a Ninja ZX-4RR in the new series.


Since its launch last season, the Kawasaki British Superteen Championship has proven to be one of the most action-packed in the entire BSB paddock, providing thrilling racing and close finishes in almost every race. It has also showcased the Team Green ethos of supporting young riders, with a number of last season’s leading names moving onto the next stage in their career, such as Chloe Jones, who has been competing in the Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, Ted Wilkninson in the National Sportbike series, and Carl Harris in the British Supersport class.

This season has been dominated by Henry Snell, who will have his first chance at wrapping up the title this weekend at Donington Park, but it has been far from easy for the Australian as future stars James Cook, Freddy Oakley, Marley Mackenzie and a whole host of other riders have pushed him all the way in what has been an unforgettable season.

Following the huge success of the National Sportbike Championship, for 2026 onwards, the British Superteen Series will be replaced with the National Junior Sportbike Championship. This new series will allow any manufacturer to enter with a model that offers an upper power parameter of 73 PS, which means the race-proven Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR remains eligible and ultra-competitive for the new Championship.

Kawasaki’s mid-capacity cruiser range gets some livery updates for the 2026 season to keep these popular machines at the forefront of their style sector.

The three machines – one Vulcan and two Eliminators –  are attractive to many types of rider including those with European A2 licences looking to migrate up from a smaller capacity machine. But that is only one area where Kawasaki cruisers score as a growing number of older and more experienced riders are finding that the 500cc to 650cc arena caters perfectly for not just their performance expectations but also the size and weight of these machines means they are eminently manageable. 

With its water-cooled 649cc parallel twin engine, the Vulcan S has, over a number of years, carved itself a reputation for style, performance and durability.  The combination of a sleek 18 inch front wheel and traditional wide rear 17 inch item is allied to effective cruiser styling and a relaxed ergonomic riding position that can be revised due to the use of Kawasaki’s Ergo-Fit accessory items covering both handlebar position and reach to the foot controls. Retaining its ever popular Metallic Flat Spark Black option for the ’26 model year, the Vulcan S can now also be optioned in a Metallic Graphite Gray/ Metallic Flat Spark Black livery. 

Kawasaki dealer showrooms will also display two versions of the recently launched Eliminator 500 in 2026, those being the standard machine and the SE version. With their trellis type chassis and newly developed parallel twin, fuel-injected engines, the Eliminators have opened up cruiser style motorcycling to riders who had previously aspired to such a machine and either did not feel there was a model that suited their requirements or was beyond their budget. 

At a maximum of 33.4 kW {45 PS}, these machines comfortably comply with EU A2 category licencing laws yet boast a finely balanced power to weight ratio that delivers Kawasaki’s traditional “fun to ride” character. While both machines share an advanced specification including digital instrumentation and a combination of 18 inch front and 16 inch rear wheels, the SE model also boasts a headlamp cowl and a convenient USB-C socket as standard fitment. 

In terms of colours, the standard machine will still be available in Metallic Flat Spark Black while a new second colour of Metallic Imperial Red/Ebony will be offered. For the SE model the new colour for 2026 will be Metallic Matte Carbon Gray/Flat Ebony.  Whatever the option chosen, Vulcan and Eliminator riders in 2026 can rest assured their choice of boulevard cruiser is already endorsed by an enthusiastic and loyal community of Kawasaki Cruiser owners.

The Eliminator 500 range will be available from January, with the standard model costing £5,999 and the SE version £6,399.

World record holder JD Stunts Sets Sights On Two More!

After breaking the Guinness World Record for the fastest speed being dragged behind a motorcycle last year, JD Stunts and Kawasaki UK have teamed up once more to take on two more records. Riding a modified Ninja ZX-10R, JD will be aiming to first break 135mph while performing a “highchair” wheelie. He will then attempt to set a new record of 160mph while facing the wrong way!

Already a multiple Guinness World Record holder, British rider Jonny Davies, AKA JD Stunts, and Kawasaki UK have enjoyed a strong partnership over the last few years. The County-Durham rider uses a modified Ninja ZX-6R as part of his regular stunt show, while the supercharged Ninja H2 SX was the machine of choice for his record-breaking 159.52mph run while skiing behind the bike.

Now, JD has turned his attention to breaking two further world records. The first will be breaking the record for the fastest “highchair” wheelie. This stunt involves wheelieing the bike while placing both feet over the handlebars and sitting on the tank, and currently sits at 125mph. Having previously held the record and recording 122mph in unofficial practice in 2020, JD will be looking to break the barrier by a significant margin now that he is riding a more powerful and modified Ninja ZX-10R. The bike has had its fairings removed, features a rear hand-operated brake, adjustable high-rise clip-ons, and an electronic, bar-mounted gear shifter. JD has also modified the tank so he can sit more securely during the wheelie attempt.

Using the same bike, JD will also attempt to break a second world record for the fastest speed while riding backwards. The current record stands at 151.7mph and was set back in 2002; he aims to utilise the 197 bhp Ninja to push the barrier past 160mph.

Both Guinness World Record attempts are again going to be happening at Elvington Airfield, the scene of last year’s impressive feat, and are scheduled for September 20th and 21st.

Versys 1100 new season colours unveiled

Fresh from its central role in the Tour de France as official motorcycle of the event, the new colourways for the Versys 1100 in the 2026 motorcycle range have been announced.

A fleet of Versys 1100 machines were supplied to ASO – the organisers of the world famous cycling event – to assist in road closures and allied safety aspects plus use as fast response medical bikes and to aid and assist the peloton as it covered twenty one demanding stages and over 3300kms of French roads.

Kawasaki fans will not have to travel quite that far to see the models available in showrooms in 2026 with the Versys 1100 retaining its current livery while the S and SE each enjoy two updated colour schemes. 

Equipped as standard with Showa electronically damped suspension front and rear, the range leading Versys 1100 SE will appear in showrooms in the two options of Metallic Deep Blue/Metallic Diablo Black or Emerald Blazed Green/ Metallic Diablo Black. 

For the S model which offers many of the advanced features as the SE such as an up/down quick shifter, electronic cruise control and Smartphone connectivity with a voice command feature, there are also two new liveries comprising the same Metallic Deep Blue/Metallic Diablo Black or Emerald Blazed Green/Metallic Diablo Black approach.
