The KLE650 is Kawasaki’s first rally inspired adventure touring model to feature a next-generation middleweight engine based on the proven 649 cm³ liquid-cooled Parallel Twin currently used so successfully in a wide range of platforms. 

In addition to electronic throttle valves, the fine-tuned intake and exhaust system delivers strong low-mid range torque, powerful high-rpm performance, and smooth, linear response with no flat spots.  This gives the KLE650 a greater sense of composure for touring while remaining responsive and engaged in the curves and turns.

Behind the scenes, standard rider support technology includes KTRC traction control and Electronic Cruise Control to further enhance comfort and convenience during long-distance riding either solo or with passenger.

A characteristic KLE500 inspired compact trellis frame is mated to a combination of F21”/R17” spoked wheels and long-travel suspension, rally-inspired bodywork, and a road-oriented seat, creating an ideal package that seamlessly transitions from daily commutes to sporty on-road riding and adventure touring duties. 

Distinguishing the KLE650 from its smaller sibling, the rally-inspired styling uses larger body panels than those of the KLE500, creating a strong visual presence while being unmistakably part of the growing KLE family.

On the SE model, additional features include an up/down KQS, a TFT meter panel, tubeless tyres, a USB-C power socket, handguards, an aluminium bash plate and a larger windshield, further contributing to long-distance comfort and convenience. 

In addition, Kawasaki dealers will offer three Edition models of the KLE650, all created using genuine Kawasaki accessories. Customers will be able to choose from a Top Case model, a Rally version and the Adventure Tourer model.

Kawasaki’s Smartride technology seamlessly integrates a compact mechanical centrifugal clutch within a conventional clutch assembly. This significantly reduces the need to use the clutch in stop-and-go urban riding and removes the need for delicate half-clutch (“feathering”) control when pulling away from a stop.

Put simply, with Smartride, you no longer need to operate the clutch lever when pulling away from a stop or coming to a halt. The system operation is entirely mechanical and requires no electronics. As with a conventional manual-transmission motorcycle, the rider can still shift gears while riding using the clutch lever and shift pedal. 

The KLE500, SE and new Smartride edition come equipped with a tall windshield and compact fuel tank, evoking the look of a rally machine, while tough, adventure-ready equipment like a large-diameter 21-inch spoke front wheel and skid plate visually express the bike’s readiness to tackle a wide variety of terrain. Additionally, the Smartride variant’s easy-to-maintain tubeless tyres introduce a new 150/70/17 rear rim size, offering more tyre options at replacement time.

The KLE500’s lightweight, purpose-designed trellis frame works with its torquey Parallel Twin engine to deliver accessible, rider-friendly performance and composed control in everyday riding situations. And once the pavement ends, the KLE500 continues to impress with light, agile handling that lets the bike respond intuitively, while the compliant suspension absorbs rough surfaces with composure. 

All model variants, including standard and SE versions, are available from dealers as Edition machines in three distinct versions: Rally, Adventure Tourer, and Urban. All items included in these edition models are factory-developed and use only approved genuine Kawasaki accessories.

The new KLE500 SE Smartride (tubeless tyre) version will be available from January in Pearl Blizzard White, with prices to be confirmed soon.

At the heart of the Versys 900 is a 948 cm³ In-Line Four engine inspired by Kawasaki’s Supernaked Z models rated at a maximum of 122PS (89.6 kW) @9500rpm and with a peak torque of 97.3Nm (9.92 kg¦?m) @8000rpm. Combining strong, controllable response from low and medium rpm with a free-revving character that pulls smoothly towards the upper end of the rev range, this exciting engine delivers the distinctive exhilaration that only an In-Line Four can offer across a wide range of riding situations, whether riding in town, in the hills, or across the country.

Kawasaki engineers developed an all-new trellis frame for the new Versys 900.  The main frame is engineered with an emphasis on achieving an ideal rigidity balance and a high level of front-end feel, while the rear frame offers the rigidity to accommodate a passenger and/or panniers plus a top case. A near 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution delivers excellent light, agile handling.  Complementing this character is the Versys series’ signature combination of long-travel suspension and sporty 17” wheels shod with Metzeler ROADTEC 01 tyres. 

An upright riding position, a seven-position adjustable screen and height-adjustable seat (825 mm > 845 mm), combine with a fuel tank shape designed to facilitate both reach to the ground and a secure knee grip to create the perfect adrenaline focused package. 

Additionally, the Versys 900 is the first Versys model to be equipped with ARAS (Advanced Rider Assistance Systems) that include Adaptive Cruise Control Lite (ACC Lite), Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). Additionally, an emergency Stop Signal (ESS) that helps to reduce the risk of rear-end collisions is included.

Smartphone connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE gives riders access to a range of useful functions for everything from everyday riding to touring, while a 5” TFT full-colour meter supports Turn-by-Turn Navigation with riders able to choose between two display layouts according to their preferences and riding needs:  Type 1, which emphasises engine excitement, and Type 2, which prioritises navigation visibility and vehicle information. 

In terms of styling, the new and unique Aero Edge concept creates a light, floating impression as though air is flowing through the bodywork, emphasising the machine’s agile nature. The result is a distinctly sporty appearance that clearly communicates the Versys 900’s unique character. In terms of luggage, the newly designed 47 L accessory top case and pannier system (2 x 32 L) integrates seamlessly with the bodywork to maintain a sleek, sporty appearance even when fully equipped for touring. Kawasaki dealers will also be offering Edition models including Tourer and Grand Tourer versions created using genuine accessories plus an SE version of the machine will be available.

The Versys 900 SE is likely to be among the most in demand of all the models and features Kawasaki genuine accessories comprising compact LED fog lamps, hand guards, grip heaters, radiator screen, frame protection sliders and a lower cowl plus centre stand.

While the AJN Steelstock bimota team have achieved fantastic results on the ZX-10RR-powered bimota KB998 Rimini, the absence of a green machine on the grid has been felt by fans and Kawasaki alike. That is why Kawasaki UK is thrilled to confirm a return to the series for the Ninja ZX-10RR, which will also mark the debut of the new-styled Ninja on the BSB grid.

The bike will be fielded by the talented Binch Racing team, who will be making the step up to the blue-riband class for the first time. The team should need no introduction to race fans, having achieved great success in recent years in the British Supersport class and National Superstock 600 Championship, most notably at the hands of AJN Steelstock bimota’s Max Cook and Joe Talbot. They will now bring that passion and experience into the Superbike class. 

Following the announcement of the new rules for the 2027 British Superbike class, the Ninja ZX-10RR’s excellent chassis, combined with more balanced engine power rules, should make the Kawasaki ultra-competitive. The Binch Racing team will also have further support from the FS-3 Racing team as well as Kawasaki directly.

The team are currently assessing riders for the 2027 season, with a one-man team announced later this year.

Replacing the telescopic front fork of the previous model, a Showa ø37 mm SFF-BP inverted front fork is now fitted. Reducing the damping pressure via the adoption of a larger piston than previous iterations creates greater control and calm attitude changes while also offering greater chassis stability on corner entry plus a planted braking feel. The updated rear suspension setting – via an uprated spring rate – pairs well with the new inverted front fork, maintaining the Ninja 650’s rider-friendly character and natural handling feel. 

In terms of braking, the previous axial-mount front brake calipers have been replaced with radial-mount items. Additionally changing from 2-piston to 4-piston calipers improves response to lever input, contributing to linear, controllable braking performance. Also, a newly designed front fender features a wider lateral design with a shape more fully covering the fork outer tubes.

The combination of these suspension and braking updates contributes to improved road-holding performance and greater control, supporting more spirited sport riding while maintaining the previous model’s light, natural handling character. The result is a 2027 package that allows a wide range of riders to enjoy the fun of controlling this popular machine with confidence. 

Other key features include a new 4.3 inch TFT colour instrument display which offers highly visible information at a glance, contributing to an even more high-tech cockpit appearance. Smartphone connectivity via the Kawasaki Rideology App now supports navigation and voice command functions, further increasing convenience and riding enjoyment.

Equipped with a lightweight trellis chassis and a commendably low seat height of 785mm, rider convenience is enhanced by additional features such as KTRC Traction Control – with two rider-selectable modes – and an accessory option of a quick shifter for seamless upshifts.
